Extensions, loft conversions, renovations and renewables in Esher, Cobham, Weybridge, Epsom, Reigate, Woking, Guildford and Dorking
We cover nine Surrey councils, from Staines and Weybridge to Reigate and Oxted, from our office in Norbury. One OKPW team designs your project, deals with the council and builds it, from the first drawing to the finished room.
A coordinated rear extension and loft conversion alongside a full interior refurbishment, making the most of vertical and horizontal space on a compact urban plot.
A single-storey rear extension starts from £62,000 and a dormer loft conversion from £45,000, plus VAT. See the prices by size in our guides, or price your own house in the calculator.
In Surrey, planning goes to your borough or district council, not to Surrey County Council. Before we draw anything we check your address: whether it is in the green belt or a conservation area, whether an Article 4 direction takes away permitted development, and whether the building is listed.
Much of Surrey is green belt. There, an extension must not be out of proportion to the house as it was first built, so we check what has been added before and what room is left. Many rear extensions and loft dormers can still go ahead under permitted development; where yours cannot, we prepare the drawings and the application for you.
Common questions
Do you work in Surrey?
Yes. We cover nine Surrey councils: Elmbridge, Epsom and Ewell, Reigate and Banstead, Mole Valley, Tandridge, Woking, Guildford, Runnymede and Spelthorne.
Who deals with planning in Surrey?
Your borough or district council, for example Elmbridge Borough Council for Esher, Cobham and Weybridge, or Mole Valley District Council for Leatherhead and Dorking. We prepare and submit the application for you.
Can I extend a house in the green belt?
Usually yes, as long as the extension is not out of proportion to the house as it was first built. We check your house and what has been added before on the free survey.
Is the survey free in Surrey too?
Yes. We come and look, measure and talk it through. No charge, no obligation.
